I would like to call upon your support on behalf of Braiden. We are once again fundraising to raise awareness for children with multiple disabilities, and most especially physical challenges.
Upon Braiden’s birth, he was not expected to survive his first night then we were informed he had Cerebral Palsy and would not walk or see. His emotional and cognitive ability would be devastated, and later be diagnosed with Autism as well. But to know Braiden today nine years later, you would quickly realize he fiercely strives for his independence in every activity. Although he faces many challenges each day he approaches life with a spirit that inspires all who meet him. So it will be of little surprise to hear that he is walking, reading and has a very special loving soul.
Every year is a special gift and joy to see how many milestones Braiden has accomplished. Last year Braiden completed 2 races and the Operation Track Shoes 50 m dash. In 2008 , in keeping with his personal growth, his goal is to complete 3 races, Operation Track Shoes – Saanich Sensations Team Member, and be a part of the Lochside Lizards Track & Field Team!
